Client Service Support (CSS)
- Finance and Accounting The Finance and Accounting (F&A) organization is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, and analysis of the firm’s financial results, accounting policies and procedures, firm and partner taxes, firmwide payroll, cash management, insurance, and financial systems application support.
- Firmwide Procurement Firmwide Procurement was established in 2007 to effectively leverage the firm’s spend, reduce procurement risk, and bring more consistent and efficient process to the purchasing of goods and services. The organization is comprised of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Operations, and Procurement Infrastructure. Each of these organizations is tasked with specific initiatives, including contract negotiations, contract administration, transactional purchasing, supplier relationship management, and supplier diversity, among others.
- Global Services Centre (GSC) A key objective of the GSC is to ensure that cross-border services development follows global processes, risk management parameters and quality standards. As appropriate, GSC professionals also tailor services to specific industries to support the needs of our Global Markets and Lines of Business. By developing and supporting a portfolio of products and tools, the GSC has established itself as KPMG's worldwide center for audit, advisory, and technology product development.
- Human Resources The Human Resources (HR) team is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategic, inter-connected initiatives and programs that drive and support KPMG's Employer of Choice/Partnership of Choice strategy. HR also provides benefits and services to help the firm's leadership, partners, and employees manage their personal lives as they build rewarding careers. HR also works closely with firm leadership to manage, analyze, and report on all aspects of the firm's personnel requirements, including recruitment, retention, and alumni relationships, and help ensure compliance with all federal and state labor laws.
- Industries & Marketing KPMG's Industries & Marketing organization supports and expands awareness of the firm’s brand by promoting KPMG’s capabilities and service offerings through multiple market channels. Industries & Marketing's primary objective is to leverage our professionals' industry-specific knowledge and experience to help current and prospective clients and other stakeholders to address the issues they face, both within their own industry and in the larger marketplace.
- Information Technology Services Information Technology Services (ITS) is the U.S. firm's primary information technology organization. ITS works with KPMG's functions to conceive, deliver and support the technology that partners and professionals need to succeed. In return, the firm benefits from reduced risk, more mobile and productive people, and better ways to get things done.
- Legal and Compliance KPMG's Legal and Compliance group is responsible for helping to support the unified set of business practices under which the firm operates, and the services they provide. Among other things, the Legal and Compliance group works with individuals in Risk Management, Professional Practice, and Operations to assist the firm in establishing policies, protocols, procedures, and processes that comply with professional and ethical standards and requirements. The Legal and Compliance group includes Communications, the Ethics and Compliance Group, the Office of Government Affairs, Internal Audit, the Office of General Counsel, and Firmwide Security.
- Operations Services The Operations Services' team is comprised of Office Services, National Design Proposal and Production Services, Events and Meetings, Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness and Administrative Support professionals. Established in 1999, Operations Services focuses on delivering customer-based operational solutions to the firm's practices and national processes in a consistent, highly effective, and efficient manner. Team members deliver services locally with national direction and oversight.
- Resource Management KPMG's Resource Management function supports KPMG's Audit, Tax, and Advisory practices by providing staffing strategies. Resource Management's primary objective is to provide the right resources to the right engagements at the right time, and to help ensure optimal efficiency at the local, practice and national levels. By working closely with leadership and engagement teams, the RM team strives to efficiently staff engagements, provide client service delivery professionals with optimal career opportunities, and meet financial targets.
- Risk Management Risk Management's focus is on improving quality, consistency, and the management of key risks. The organization helps ensure that we have consistent and balanced risk management policies and processes that our professionals can understand and support, drive quality performance, and enable us to manage our key risks. Risk Management comprises Risk Management Audit (including Americas Desk), Advisory, and Tax; IT Risk Management; Global Risk Management; Risk Management Applications; Independence and Washington National Tax.
- Tax Processing Tax Processing is responsible for tracking tax returns. Members of the Tax Processing team prepare local offices for monthly tax deadlines. Key skills required to perform the role include the ability to manage and comply with tax filing requirements and deadlines. Consistency and attention to detail are a must. The Tax Processing team also works closely with the Federal Tax practice and is responsible for handling and facilitating the daily coordination of multiple departments to help ensure all relevant parties have access to and receive the information they need to comply with all filing requirements and deadlines.
- Tax Technology Based in Montvale, N.J., Tax Technology serves tax engagement teams across the U.S. and around the globe building and deploying technology tools that empower an agile and client-focused Tax practice.
