Helping Kids Achieve
Last year, employees and partners from 34 KPMG offices participated in Junior Achievement events, giving more than 9,600 volunteer hours and raising more than $600,000 through bowl-a-thons, golf outings, and more.
Keeping Connected
Since it launched in May 2007, KPMG Connect (KPMG's Alumni portal) has been a place where current and former KPMG employees and partners can keep informed about what's going on in their lives and careers. And it's a big community-more than 16,000 current KPMG'ers are registered, along with more than 17,200 former and retired partners and employees.
Vacation Challenge
While enjoying personal time off, KPMG employees are encouraged to submit photos taken during their vacations or any personal time off they are enjoying, to the Vacation Challenge contest. Partners and employees across the firm vote for the national winner who receives a great prize!
Help When You Need it the Most
Last year, KPMG contributed nearly $600,000 to the American Cancer Society (ACS) through corporate contributions and employee giving, and more than 750 KPMG partners and employees from 39 offices participated in a variety of events to support the ACS.
Super Savings
Lots of us are watching our budgets these days, so bargains and discounts are always welcome. KPMG's MyLife benefits offer a total of 27 different discount programs for KPMG employees and partners, including everything from day care to pet insurance to new cars!
Learning Curve
Last year, more than 1.6 million CPE credits were completed by KPMG partners and employees. To keep sharp and make sure our employees and partners are earning the CPEs they need, our Center for Learning and Development helps them out with a variety of training courses.

Literacy for the Little Ones
Over the past two years, KPMG's Family for Literacy has donated more than $500,000 and distributed more than 350,000 books, and an additional $100,000 has been raised by KPMG employees and partners and their families.
Taking Time
Most American workers need to accrue five years of service with their employer to get 20 days of Personal Time Off each year. KPMG offers employees at least that many, and they don't need to wait for years!
Caring for the Kids
With the school year often comes those days when you need to make last-minute child care arrangements. KPMG offers backup child care in all 92 U.S. offices.
Hours and Hours
In 2008, KPMG partners and employees donated more than 205,000 hours to local charities, using the KPMG Volunteer Time Release program. Eligible employees can donate up to 12 hours per year.
Diversity
KPMG continues its efforts to encourage and promote diversity in the workplace. Our six Diversity Networks have grown to 118 chapters across the country, with nearly 6,000 members more than one-quarter of our entire population!

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) named three KPMG Audit professionals as winners of the 2008 Elijah Watt Sells award.
