Other career journeys

I joined the firm in 1998. I joined the New York office as a senior associate, did my stint in Short Hills, doing the same thing, but had the opportunity to work with a couple of different clients primarily telecom and pharma type companies and consumer electronic companies. So while New York has the excitement of having such a diverse, different client base, New Jersey has the advantage of some very large multi-nationals that you can work with quite closely. Then by 2000, I was promoted to manager, and I continued on that path for the next two, three years and my first year as a senior manager, I had an opportunity to do something that was quite unique, and that was to do a rotation in the national chairman's office, working for the vice chair of tax which was a great experience that gave me a whole new insight into what KPMG was all about, what happens behind the scenes, how important all the various different aspects of KPMG really are, and how the machine really works. I did that for 12 months, and then after that, came back to the Economic Valuation Services (EVS) practice, and the following year, got promoted to managing director. Then in 2006, got promoted to partner, where I am today.
