Linda’s career journey
August 2005
Successfully concluding a global project of over two years
We enabled one of our firms' clients to emerge from bankruptcy. The project involved hundreds of KPMG professionals across nearly every service line, in every global region. The project was a very satisfying one for me because it helped me gain a good understanding and appreciation of the scale of KPMG's global network and how we really do work well together as an international and cross-functional team.January 2006
Professional development events
I sought out opportunities to develop and sustain key personal and professional mentoring relationships. These were both internal and external to KPMG, and assisted me in refining and developing my skills to make partnership achievable.October 2006
Achieving partnership
Becoming a partner of the U.S. firm was the most significant and exciting moment of my career so far. To mark the occasion, all the new partners from around the world attended a celebratory event in San Francisco. This was a unique opportunity to meet KPMG colleagues from other member firms as well as hear from senior KPMG International leadership about their vision for the future of the organization. I had a great time and the many networking opportunities enabled me to make new contacts and friends.
