Mark, Tax

Is there opportunity for mobility within KPMG?

Transcript

If I stayed with federal tax from day one, I would have been there, and doing the traditional federal tax compliance and provision review throughout all those years. However, in the last year or so, I personally wanted to do more cross border transaction, by talking to the performance managers, and talking to various professionals in the firm. The firm made it happen for me. So I was there doing the things I wanted to do, and develop a completely different skill set. So that was ... I mean it's such a big firm, and with multiple disciplines, this is actually not uncommon to happen to people. And I've seen may of my colleagues going through somewhat similar transition. And sometimes the transition to a different discipline. Sometimes they transfer to a different office. Internationally, or within the US. Sometimes they go to a national office, to do more technical work. So the opportunities are tremendous. And as long as you put your work to it, and as long as you express your interest in it, I think you will eventually get the work you wanted to do.
